Google De-indexed and Penalized another Private Blog Network

Google’s battle against the efforts to influence its search results is getting momentum with the recent Algorithm update. Google is acting more forcefully than ever in its history to take down those blog networks who are buying and selling links. The latest event took place on 19th of March when Google De-indexed and Penalized another Private Blog Network BuildMyRank.com.

BuildMyRank.com confirmed the news that Google has eliminated most of the sites in their blog network from its (Google’s) index. On its official blog, BuildMyRank.com stated,” Unfortunately, this morning, our scripts and manual checks have determined that the overwhelming majority of our network has been de-indexed (by Google), as of March 19, 2012. In our wildest dreams, there’s no way we could have imagined this happening”. The Website thought that Google would not take such action as they are better than other networks in terms quality of service.

However,  the BuildMyRanks.com authorities have decided to shut down the website until the dust settles and started refunding unused outsource credits and subscription payments for the month.

There is a major reason behind de-indexing of private blog networks by Google.  The reputation of a website, called PageRank, is based on the quantity of back links i.e. links from other sites to it and the reputation of those sites. This also improves the quality of search results. However, the private blog networks use spun articles to post on different blogs just to increase the number of back links.  In this way a non-deserving website can get the top SERP position. Google’s war against this artificial manipulation of search results has started in 2005 when the “No-Follow” attribute first introduced.
