A dose of the Google Tablet
There is a heap of android powered tablets available in the market but the iPad still remains the first choice when it comes to tablets.
Things might change now since Google decided to enter the battlefield and to launch its tablet during the I/O developer conference starting on June the 27th. According to the information leaked online, the Google tablet “Nexus 7” is likely to have a screen size of 7 inches and is expected to be sold at $200 for the 8GB version and at $249 for the 16GB version.
Merely a week after the launch of Microsoft Surface, the entrance of Google tab will stir the gadget freaks’ fervor to all new levels. Google is set to compete with the iPad and its runner-up: the Amazon Kindle Fire. Google Nexus tablet is expected to feature a 9-hours battery backup, a 1.3 Ghz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, a GeForce 12-core graphics processor and 1GB of RAM. Available at a pocket-friendly price and anticipated to run on the next version of the Android called Jelly Bean, Google Nexus has a fair chance to win the consumers’ appraisal.
But the real potential of the tablet will be known only after its launch. Till then bets are open: will the Google tab become a part of the flock or the leader of them all?
